Rory Prout was born in Tipperary in 1985. After graduating from LSAD in 2008 he remained to live and work in Limerick where he is currently a member of Wickham Street Sudios. He has shown work nationally and interntionally. His practice engages with the representational challenges posed in a culture accustomed to advances in image technology. Working primarily in painting his themes include censorhip, identity, duplicity and ambiguous narrative.
